What a difference a day makes

As you can tell Carter looks much better today. Its so much easier to see him like this. I know some of you cried after seeing him yesterday, and hopefully this makes you smile. It sure makes Mike and I smile. Please pray for a restful night, healing for Carter, and another good day tomorrow.

Updated at 8:20: I know Carter looks really good in this picture, and he is doing much better, but I just happened to get him with a smile on his face and for most of the day he was poutty. If you click on the picture it gets bigger, and you will notice he has yes written on his chest. They did this so they operated on the right (left) side! I think its hilarious. His incision is about 5 inches long, and is below his armpit around to his back. You can not see the incision in this picture. Carter is now sleeping and I pray he sleeps well and does not wake up in pain.

We received a prayer request at school today. I work with Jeanne and she said that Carter is quite the happy little boy in the church nursery. I am so glad to see a picture of this little guy looking like she explained he always looks. I showed my little boys Carter's picture and we will be praying for him as we do for Granton.

Yeah! It's great to see Carter's sweet smile. We missed him in the nursery tonight. It is amazing how quickly he is recovering from the surgery, but they always say kids bounce back from illness quicker than adults. Hope you continue getting good news and get to come home soon.

Wow! I know this was a "good" moment, but what a blessing those are! We will pray for his rest, healing, and comfort! Tell Evan we missed him tonight and I especially missed hearing him yell, "Miss Jeannie!!!" across the fellowship hall! Let us know what we can do to help!

Gina and family-
I prayed for you all in church tonight and will continue to do so through this whole season...Our God is so big, so great and so mighty, there's nothing our God can not do...for you! Bella sings this in church and it always makes me smile-With faith like a child I am going before the throne to ask for mercy and healing in little Carter's body. YeeHaa! I anxiously awaited your update today! Thank you so much for keeping us up with pictures and info! Mike, I stopped by your mom's today and she was not home. Do you know if she has had access to the blog? I bet she would love to see today's picture. I will try again Friday.

I woke up from a dead sleep last night, and was instantly consumed by prayers for Carter and Granton. I feel frustrated that I can't make these boys better, but at the same time I know who can. I prayed for peace for you at this time, and comfort and wisdom in all of your decision making. We love you guys so much!

Isn't God amazing? Carter has people all over the world praying for him!! Another teacher just told me that her youth group prayed for Carter last night and I had just told her about him yesterday. She said that a bunch of people in Pittsburg know you. I love that smile in the picture!!!

I have been praying that the Lord will multiply the few hours that you are able to sneak to rest. How sweet to know that we can rest in His loving arms knowing that He's in control and taking care of all.

Again this morning I am reminded of Lamentations 3:22-23: "Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness".

I pray you will have another day filled with hope and good news and that you will be able to come home so we can all hug your necks instead of "cyber hugs".

Was great seeing your smiling faces, my thoughts and prayers with you - all four. It was a shock to me to read the "C" word, can not imagine what went thru you when you heard it spoken. Anything I can do just call.
