I just got a call that they moved his MIBG scan back until 2p.m. I feed him at 6a.m. and then they told me I could give him more clear liquids in the next 5 minutes, so he got more apple juice. Please pray that the apple juice will keep him from starving and he will not be so mad by the time this is over. Also pray that the apple juice doesn't have a negative effect like it sometimes can. We have enough yucky diapers as it is!! Don't forget to also pray for Leslie her surgery is at 1:30 today.
Thank you all,

Dear Gina,
I just sat and read all about your precious Carter!
My heart truly, truly goes out to you.
My son was dx with brain cancer at 16. He's 22 now and doing well.
I know all the emotions you are feeling. It truly was the prayers, and the COMFORT and GRACE of God that got us through sugery and treatment.
I want you to know I will start praying for you son DAILY.
NB is such a beast, but our God is BIGGER then ANY kind of cancer!!!
Please know I'll here praying you through...
Susan
Gina,
What a crazy day you've had - so thankful they told you the test wa moved back in time to give Carter some more juice so hopefully that will tide him over.
Praying for comfort and patience (and a full feeling tummy) during this rough time.
Love you bunches!
Rachel
Gina, I tried twice to post to you yesterday - quite lengthy ones at that. For some reason, they never posted and I just thought maybe God wanted me to keep my mouth shut and just pray. So, that's what I did. I should have written anyway to encourage you. I was reminded yesterday morning how good our God is and had quite a lengthy discussion with my son (although much bigger and older than your baby boy) about some things he is struggling with right now. In my quest to remind him of several scriptures to think on and claim, I recalled Philippians 4:8: "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Keeping this "list" in front of me helps keep me focused and helps me remember to bring every thought captive and to think on the things of God instead of the "what ifs" that so often will race through our minds.
I was also reminded of Isaiah 26:3-4 " You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal."
I am sorry we let you down by not being encouraging to you at a time when you needed it so much. Rest assured I prayed, but I should have posted.
You have a LOT of people praying for your sweet, sweet family and a LOT of people that love you, but that doesn't even hold a candle to how much your Heavenly Father loves you and your family. And He never sleeps, He is there 24/7 and He is the only one that will NEVER, EVER let you down.
I will check later to see the good report that all went well. And in the meantime, many prayers will continue going up on your behalf!!
I was just thinking that perhaps it was over then I looked on the blog and saw you are delayed. I'm so glad he at least gets apple juice. I know you hated the delay, but I'm sure God is in this, we're all praying and we know God hears us. We'll pray that Carter thinks his little tummy is full and that all goes well. We love you Mommy and Carter.

Aww...man! Poor starving little Carter! I am praying that this procedure goes smoothly and quickly so your hungry little man can get some real food. I'm also praying for peace and comfort for Gina! Just a few more days! Hang in there.
I just read your blog, so it is after the test, but rest assured that we are all praying! Hopefully by now you have been able to feed your little man by now! "God is good all the time, and all the time God is good", as you can tell, that is kind of my motto, and it helps to keep rembering it. Hang in there,
Love ya, Kathy & Roy
Gina,
I applaud your genuine-ness, your realness in all of this. No one knows better than a parent in your situation alone what this is like, but i pray the Lord uses the words of encouragement of others to strengthen and sustain you. I still have a hard time believing this sweet baby boy has cancer! I wish there was something i could do--know that i am praying for you and carter and Mike and Evan too. I am so sorry for the heartache of this trial! I pray God fully by His awesome grace redeems very ounce of tears and heartache for His glory and your and your family's good. He is still an awesome, good God, He is still in control even when we feel out of control. I'm sure you know--your precious baby Carter is so safe with Him, He knows Carter, He knows who he created Him to be, who He is forming Him to become, He knows who you are, He knows...He knows...intimately, personally, lovingly. Thank you for being so real and honest. It makes you much more believable and approachable in all this and allows the tender mercies of God to minister to you, HE sustains remember, HE strengthens, HE delivers from fear, it is HIM; not anything YOU do. I'm preaching to the choir (myself). I love you girl! One more thing, on Leslie's page, Is. 43 was quoted several times, please read it: When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will noot be burned , nor will the flame kindle upon you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. The whole chapter is good, the point is: HE IS WITH YOU. Sorry I have not written sooner--but we are praying. Love you! Jamee' S.
Gina, We won't stop praying for Carter and you all. Carter and Granton are on my mind throughout the day. Know you are loved. Find comfort in knowing God is listening.
We love you much and pray often. I see a big dinner in Carter's future!! :o)

Gina, Just wanted you to know that we gathered around in the pharmacy today at 2:00 and lifted our boy to the Lord. I am so sorry that I have not been writing. I have been keeping on top of things but just didn't take time to write. I love you and little Carter and miss you so much. Can't wait for you to get home.
Love, Rita
